📘 100% English Language Education
The language of instruction at the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Eskişehir Technical University is 100% English. This enables our students to master the technical terminology specific to aerospace engineering and achieve the proficiency to express themselves comfortably in international academic and professional environments. English-language education provides our students with a significant advantage in terms of applying to overseas graduate programs, participating in international projects, and pursuing a global career. Additionally, the process begins with a strong foundation through preparatory classes and English-supported course materials.
🎓 Experienced Academic Staff
Our Department of Aeronautical Engineering employs academics who are experts in their fields and recognized nationally and internationally. Our faculty members have both academic and industry experience, and they not only teach students but also encourage them to engage in research, production, and inquiry. Through projects conducted at the master's and doctoral levels, our students have the opportunity to experience scientific research culture from their undergraduate years onwards.
🧪 Extensive Laboratory Facilities
Our department has a strong laboratory infrastructure that offers students application-based learning opportunities. It is equipped with a wide range of facilities, including an aerodynamics laboratory, flight mechanics simulation systems, turbojet engine test sets, flight control and maneuvering systems (Quanser Aero 2, 3DOF Hover), a structural analysis laboratory, and composite workshops. Our students participate in in-class applications in these laboratories and also take an active role in R&D projects.
🌍 Erasmus Opportunities
Our department has Erasmus+ student exchange agreements with prestigious universities in various European countries. Within this framework, our students can spend one semester of their undergraduate education abroad, gaining significant academic and cultural benefits.
In particular, there is an active bilateral Erasmus+ agreement between our department and the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain, which has a strong infrastructure in the field of aviation education. Thanks to this agreement, our students gain a different academic perspective while studying at this well-established university in Madrid and have the opportunity to develop themselves in a multinational engineering environment.
The Erasmus program not only enhances our students' technical knowledge but also elevates their foreign language skills, self-confidence, and global engineering perspectives to an advanced level.
🛠️ Project-Based Internship Opportunities
The Department of Aeronautical Engineering encourages project-based internships that enable students to gain early exposure to the industry. Through close collaborations with defense and aerospace industry organizations such as TUSAŞ, TEI, ASELSAN, and Roketsan, our students gain experience by working on real-world engineering problems. Additionally, participation in research projects conducted within the department can also count toward internship requirements. This enables our students to acquire practical knowledge while also laying a strong foundation for their future careers.
